Are you someone who thrives on transforming numbers into strategies? At Metro Serbia, we’re looking for a Team Leader in our Financial Controlling team —someone who can turn financial data into actionable insights while leading a small but impactful team.
This role is more than just numbers on a spreadsheet. You’ll be the bridge between data and decision-making, helping the business grow smarter and more efficient. You'll oversee two team members, guiding them through the financial landscape, and ensuring that every report serves as a tool for success.
What Will You Do?
- Financial Control at Its Core: Prepare standard financial reports for local management and our international Metro team, ensuring clarity and precision.
- Plan for Success: Support the creation of annual budgets and forecasts, continuously tracking monthly performance against targets to keep operations on course.
- Data That Drives Decisions: Dive into sales, profitability and distribution center/warehouse performance reports, providing actionable insights that helps result achievements.
- Optimize Supply chain Operations: Analyze performance data for the SCM department, crafting reports that improve efficiency and optimize processes.
- Lead the Way: Manage a team of two, ensuring smooth workflows, continuous development, and top-quality results.
- Be the Go-To Partner: Collaborate with operational, supply chain and sales teams providing financial expertise that helps them make the best decisions.
- Tackle Projects Head-On: Contribute to key operational projects, helping to shape strategies that boost growth and efficiency.
What Makes You the Perfect Fit?
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial controlling or similar roles with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and present clear insights.
- Proven leadership abilities to guide, develop, and inspire your team (prior team leadership experience is a plus but not mandatory).
- Excellent communication skills for seamless collaboration with internal teams and international partners.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and a strong command of English (B2 and up).
- Desirable: Experience with SAP and SQL for advanced data analysis and reporting.
